Sustainable Design Thinking: A hands-on workshop with ASviS
Partner

From May 7 to 23, the Festival of Sustainable Development, promoted by ASviS – the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development, took place: the largest Italian initiative dedicated to spreading ESG culture in an accessible, cross-sectoral, and concrete way.
This year, however, Be-Boost chose to actively contribute: a live, open, and collaborative workshop designed to bring enabling and actionable solutions directly to those who deal with sustainability every day. An opportunity to integrate innovation and sustainability into businesses—starting with practice.
No conferences, no stage: just hands-on work to make sustainability a true driver of business growth.
Workshop: Design What Exists, Build What’s Needed
The initiative was born with a clear goal: break down internal silos and bring ESG issues into every business function, forming cross-functional teams.
We designed a lab with a focused mission: empower companies and professionals with practical tools to identify, understand, and activate the ESG potential within their organizations.
A people-centered approach, built to foster dialogue among diverse experiences, generate concrete solutions, and build shared awareness.
The core of the process was the Sustainable Wheel Canvas, which helped participants:
-
Map existing ESG initiatives within their companies
-
Identify critical areas and development opportunities
-
Design new, replicable, and measurable actions
-
12 thematic areas, four for each ESG pillar, all guided by a precise methodological framework: Design Thinking.

The Results: Ideas, Tools, and Cross-Pollination
The workshop brought together 17 participants from 12 companies, including Fastweb, Masmec, and Agrimessina. Around the same table, they exchanged ideas, challenges, and actionable opportunities.
In just two hours, they mapped over 100 ESG initiatives, including both established practices and early-stage concepts.
Connections That Create Impact
These results make us proud—and confident. They confirm that what we are building fits into a broader context: one of real, concrete, and increasingly sought-after sustainable development.
A milestone, celebrated in the beautiful setting of Palazzo Verrone, with the support of the young professionals from Experience Cooperative and the team at Aulab.
This event became a powerful moment of connection with the local ecosystem, merging business expertise, social vision, and collaborative design.
